Pet Allergies are very common and mostly caused by the small dander particles of animal skin. It causes the itchy sensation, sneezing, watery eyes and stuffy nose in people. The pet allergies are very common among the dogs, cats or even the birds. Most people think that Pet allergies are caused by the fur or feathers of the pets but it is actually caused by the small, invisible flakes of the skin of the animal. The pet allergy is caused by the tiny dander particles on the skin of the pet. These particles are sticky can stick to your clothes, bedding, furnishings and carpets. The particles are easily carried through air.
The best way to prevent yourself from pet allergy is avoiding exposure to pets. Try to avoid direct contact with pets as it gives more chance to catch dander. You can also remove your pets from your house to reduce the amount of dander in your house.
After removing your pets from your home clean your home thoroughly. Scrub the walls of your house properly, replace your furniture, or apply some other ways to get your home free from dander. Replacing your clothing and bedding, which contain dander particles, can give good results.

The people who are not willing to remove the pate from the house can follow some procedures to reduce dander to a considerable extent. Give bath to your pat on a weekly basis. Make certain zones of your house free from pets. It will reduce the levels of allergen in the rooms. Try to keep the pt’s kennel clean.
Some of the people suffer from mild pet allergy and some suffer from severe pet allergy. For mild allergies the preventive measures, like, minimizing exposure to pet dander and keeping the yourself and the house free from allergens can give good results. For severe cases of pet allergy, medications are needed. Go to doctor and take the allergy medications recommended by the doctor. Some of the anti-allergic medications include,
Benadryl, Claritin, Sudafed, Chlor-Trimeton, Zyrtec, Clarinex, Flonase, Nasonex, Flovent, Pulmicort etc. Immunotherapy or allergy shot is an effective way to get rid of the severe allergic symptoms. It desensitizes you to pet dander and help your get rid of the allergy symptoms..
